07 Mar Tour of Modular Home
Today we met Amelia and Callum from the Birmingham based C.H.I.C (Central Housing Investment Consortium). C.H.I.C have been working in partnership with The Community Housing Group in Kidderminster and their modular show home has recently become available for viewings on Finepoint Way, Kidderminster. We had an interesting tour around the house where we gained an understanding of how off-site manufacturing can make home building more affordable. It takes much less time to construct and there can be more flexibility on the design of the home when it’s developed off site. It’s also better for the environment in the longer term as costs of transportation costs are reduced and homes can be built to be energy efficient.
